Service Area
1. Quotes & Pricing. All quotes provided by Downsize Detail are indicative estimates based on information and photographs supplied by the customer. Final pricing is confirmed on-site prior to commencement of work. Pricing includes labour, transport, and an estimate of disposal fees. Disposal fees are charged at the applicable Wingecarribee Resource Recovery Centre rates plus a loading fee and are confirmed on the day based on actual waste tonnage and category. Downsize Detail reserves the right to adjust the final invoice where the actual volume, weight, or complexity of the job differs materially from the information provided at the time of quoting.
2. Resale Credit. The Resale Credit (also referred to as the Treasure Trimmer Credit) is applied at the sole discretion of Downsize Detail and is based on Downsize Detail's assessment of the resale value of items identified during the clearance. The credit is applied as a reduction to the Cleanout Fee and does not constitute a purchase agreement or guarantee of resale value. Ownership of all items to which a Resale Credit is applied transfers to Downsize Detail upon application of the credit. Items not credited remain the property of the customer until collected or disposed of as directed.
3. Customer Responsibilities. The customer warrants that they have the right and authority to authorise clearance of the property and all items therein. The customer is responsible for removing or clearly identifying any items they wish to retain prior to the commencement of work. Downsize Detail accepts no liability for items disposed of or resold where the customer has not clearly identified them as excluded from the clearance prior to work commencing.
4. Hazardous Materials. Downsize Detail does not handle, transport, or dispose of asbestos, asbestos-containing materials, chemicals, paint (in large quantities), biohazardous waste, or any other regulated or hazardous materials. If such materials are identified on-site, work may be suspended until the materials are removed by a licensed contractor. Any additional costs arising from this are the responsibility of the customer.
5. Access & Site Conditions. The customer is responsible for ensuring safe, unobstructed access to the clearance area. Downsize Detail reserves the right to decline or suspend work where site conditions are deemed unsafe or where access is materially different from what was represented at the time of quoting.
6. Payment. Payment is due on completion of works unless otherwise agreed in writing. Downsize Detail accepts bank transfer and cash. For larger jobs, a deposit may be required prior to commencement. Invoices unpaid after 7 days may incur a late payment fee.
7. Liability. Downsize Detail holds public liability insurance with a minimum of $10,000,000 cover. To the extent permitted by law, Downsize Detail's liability for any claim arising from the provision of services is limited to the value of the services provided. Downsize Detail accepts no liability for pre-existing damage to structures, flooring, driveways, or fixtures.
8. Privacy. Personal information collected through this website (including name, phone number, email, and property address) is used solely for the purpose of providing clearance services and communicating with customers. Downsize Detail does not sell or share personal information with third parties except where required by law. Photos submitted for quoting purposes are used internally and are not published without consent.
9. Website Use. The content of this website is provided for general information purposes only. Downsize Detail makes no representations or warranties as to the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of the information contained herein. Use of this website is at the user's own risk. 10. Governing Law. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
